Weekly Menu August 28 - September 3, 2011

This has been one crazy week with an earthquake and a hurricane. I hope everyone on the east coast is staying safe! Despite all of the natural disasters, this is a pretty good week for Harris Teeter sales.  Hopefully when you're shopping this weekend there will be items left in the store! This week's post is a great example of how stocking up on grocery sales can help spread your savings over a few weeks.  2.5 lb bags of frozen boneless, skinless chicken breasts are B2G3 so I’m stocking up to be set on chicken for the next few weeks! Also, if you purchase the stock up list and save the left over chipotle chili in adobo sauce from this week, you’ll already have most of the items for a whole meal next week! For all of this week’s savings and coupon match ups at Harris Teeter, check out the list from Southern Savers.

The weekly menu is about $55 this week for two people. If you buy the stock up items, your total will be more but you will be prepared for next week and many more to come with all of that chicken! Also, there will be leftovers from the chicken casserole (serves 4-6).

I love it! I just wish there was a Harris Teeter around me. I am going to try your Crispy Oven Baked Cod with Lemon Tomato Linguine.
